{"id":391,"date":"2018-12-31T14:03:40","date_gmt":"2018-12-31T14:03:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pilatesspaceflorida.u2xudbvc-liquidwebsites.com\/?p=391"},"modified":"2024-03-01T23:38:01","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T23:38:01","slug":"magic-circle-the-ring-of-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pilatesoase.de\/en\/magic-circle-the-ring-of-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Magic Circle &#8211; The Ring of Fire!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>It is said that Joseph Pilates made the first \u201cMagic Circle\u201d from the ring on a beer Keg!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Magic Circle, made of flexible metal, was created to help you find the connections to your Powerhouse more easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This flexible ring provides gentle to moderate resistance that will develop your Powerhouse, muscle control and balance, tone your bottom, hamstrings, chest and arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking to intensify your daily mat work, pair your workouts with the Magic Circle and get ready to reap the benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Here are some Mat exercises to try with the Magic Circle:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #709b32;\"><strong>The Hundred<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lie on your back<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put the Magic Circle between your ankles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Straighten your legs out and pump your arms while breathing in 5 counts, out 5 counts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #709b32;\"><strong>Upper Body Workout<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stand up tall, engage your Powerhouse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold Magic Circle between your palms at hip level<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Squeeze the circle in as you move your extended arms over your head and back down<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeat this to a slow count of 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #709b32;\"><strong>Inner Thighs<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lie on side and place circle around outside of knees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lie down on your hand or lie propped up on your elbow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With a solid mid section, press top leg up against circle up and bottom leg down. 10 \u2013 15 reps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Magic Circle is great for home use! If you\u2019re hanging out in the living room watching TV, grab the circle and feel the burn.
